Abstract

The Military Welfare History Network held its fourth international Conference from July 9th to July 11th, organised by Heidrun Zettelbauer (GRAZ), Viktoria Wind (GRAZ), Sabine Haring-Mosbacher (GRAZ) and Sabine Jesner (VIENNA). The nine panels and two keynotes aimed to open up new perspectives on the historiography of war and welfare. A book presentation and round-table discussion about the forthcoming publication ‘Gendering Vulnerability and Care During the 'Greater War' in Europe, 1912–1923‘ deepened these discussions regarding the First World War.
